Art Center Clay Studio Exhibit 2024

This show is open to all current Clay Studio members. This is a great opportunity for all skill levels. Every member is encouraged to submit at least one piece to demonstrate the diversity of our studio!

ENTRIES: Up to 3 entries per artist. Entries shall be submitted online through the link (to be provided), from July 3 - 25, 2024. Ask for online registration assistance, if needed. Do not share link with non-clay studio members.

ENTRY FEES: $8 per piece due upon online registration.

ELIGIBILITY: Original works of art must be comprised primarily of clay, completed within the last 2 years and not previously shown in the main gallery of the Art Center of Corpus Christi. All entries must meet Art Center guidelines.

MAXIMUM SIZE: May not exceed 72 inches in any direction.

REQUIREMENTS: Sculptures must be manageable by two people. Artists must be available to install complicated pieces.

JUDGE: Diana Kersey

AWARDS: Best of Show, as well as 1st , 2nd & 3rd place recognition, along with and two Honorable Mentions in functional and sculptural categories.

Best of Show- $100 plus one bag of clay

1st place Sculptural & Functional- $75 plus one bag of clay

2nd place Sculptural & Functional- $50 plus one bag of clay

3rd place Sculptural & Functional- $25 plus one bag of clay

Two - Honorable Mentions in each category- one bag of clay

SALES: All submissions must be “For Sale.” The Art Center shall retain 30% commission of the sale price, so price your pieces accordingly.

The Art Center of Corpus Christi's annual Independents exhibit is an opportunity for our members, who are not a member of an affiliated group, to exhibit their current artwork.

ONLINE SUBMISSIONS ONLY: June 12 - August 8, 2024 at Midnight, CDT

EXHIBITION DATES: September 6 - 28, 2024

RECEPTION: September 6, 2024 from 5:00 – 9:00pm during ArtWalk in Downtown Corpus Christi

ENTRY FEE: $25 – Artist must submit 2 entries and is guaranteed 1 will be accepted

Dimension LI

Dimension LI, our annual national exhibition, attracts a wide range of contemporary art from artists across the country. The artist, whose work receives the Best of Show award, will be awarded $500 and a solo exhibition in 2025.

One shelf per artist; however, if not all shelves are filled, an artist may state in their email that they would like additional shelves to a maximum of 3. You will be notified by May 10th of shelf reservation status and will receive a link to enter your inventory along with additional instructions and a link to pay the fee. Payment of the shelf fee is due no later than May 12th, if not paid by that date, your shelf reservation will be cancelled.
